What is a legend?
‘Legend’ is one of the highest compliments you can receive in Glasgow. It’s what you call someone who shows up, helps out or does the right thing and never makes a fuss about it.
Being a legend is about the everyday moments of kindness, humility and friendliness. It’s holding the door open, making a good cup of tea, or offering a smile when it’s needed most. The simple things, done well.
Who are the legends?
Glasgow is one of the friendliest cities in the world and at Glasgow 2026, that spirit will shine through our volunteers: The Legends.
The Legends won’t just be part of the Games – they are the Games.
The eyes and ears of the city, the beating heart of the experience. The storytellers, the problem-solvers and the energy-makers.
They’ll shape first impressions and lasting memories. Long after the final medal is won and the crowds head home, it’s The Legends who people will remember and the feeling they created.
Because of them, Glasgow 2026 won’t just be seen. It will be felt.
Where to find them
The Legends will be everywhere across the city and throughout our venues at Games time. You’ll spot them in their bright pink, unmistakable uniforms.
So when you see one, say hello.
Nice one, Legends. You’re what makes this city special and what will make Glasgow 2026 truly unforgettable.
