We are seeking a technology specialist to join the Glasgow 2026 team as a Senior Technology Integration Manager. The postholder is responsible for the collation and management of the Venue Technology requirements. This role will lead the integrated planning between technology and the delivery partners.

Key objectives will include onboarding and contracting the Venue Technology Suppliers, day to day contract management of the suppliers, as well as planning and implementing the technology readiness strategy, and the Technology Operations Centre.

In addition to a sound understanding of project management and technology principles, excellent interpersonal skills are necessary to facilitate relationship building with the wider team and stakeholders.

This role offers the successful applicant the opportunity to support a new and innovative way in planning and delivering the Commonwealth Games; supporting the development of optimised Games time solutions, challenging previous Games’ ‘norms’ and supporting the OC to be efficient and effective.   

Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, applicants should be able to demonstrate experience in the planning and delivery of a large-scale multi-venue event.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Leading the collation and management of the Venue Technology requirements in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Assess technology needs, ensuring scalability, security, and alignment with our key objectives.
  • Lead the integrated planning between technology and the delivery partners including AV, Wi-Fi, networking, communications systems, and sport and event technologies as required.
  • Manage the contracting and onboarding processes of the Venue Technology Suppliers always ensuring compliance with legislation and OC processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to integrate various technology platforms and solutions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for technology vendors and ensure the timely delivery of services.

Education: 

The Senior Technology Integration Manager should have a relevant tertiary qualification and proven experience in the planning and delivery of a large-scale multi-venue event. In addition, they should possess a recognised project management qualification or demonstrate relevant experience. 

Key Skills and Experience: 

We are looking for a Senior Technology Integration Manager who has proven experience in a similar role. The successful candidate will have a high level of organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise effectively.

Key attributes include a proven experience managing complex technology solutions for large-scale events and familiarity with cloud-based platforms and technology infrastructure for large-scale events.

In addition, the successful candidate should also be able to effectively assess situations, analyse information, and make informed decisions.
