The 23rd Commonwealth Games return to Glasgow from 23 July – 2 August 2026, twelve years after the celebrated 2014 Games. With a condensed 10-sport programme across just four venues in an 8-mile corridor, Glasgow 2026 will deliver a dynamic, engaging experience for athletes, spectators, and global viewers.

Central to the Games’ spirit are the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, scheduled for 23 July and 2 August 2026 respectively. These showcase moments set the tone for the event, offering a creative and cultural celebration of Scotland to the world.

We are now seeking a full-service Ceremonies Production Supplier to deliver these pivotal moments. This EOI process will allow Glasgow 2026 Limited to shortlist qualified suppliers to receive a formal Request for Proposal (RFP).

Scope of Services

The selected Ceremonies Production Supplier will be responsible for the end-to-end planning and delivery of both ceremonies. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Strategy, project management, and delivery operations

  • Creation and coordination of a core creative team (with OC input)

  • Creative development and show production

  • All technical, operational, and production logistics

  • Cast and talent management, including inclusive recruitment and rehearsals

  • Venue integration planning and infrastructure support

  • Host Broadcaster collaboration and broadcast direction

  • Event management, administration, and sustainability monitoring

  • Ongoing project reporting and delivery assurance

A full scope will follow at the RFP stage.
